Katie Phetteplace

Katie Phetteplace brings almost two decades of experience counseling clients across the commercial real estate market. Her extensive knowledge of the landscape, paired with a sharp business acumen and focus on client relationships, enables Katie to advise clients strategically and effectively in high-stakes commercial real estate transactions. She represents a wide range of clients, including real estate developers, commercial property owners, investors, lenders, tenants, restaurants, and entrepreneurs.

Serving as both a business advisor and outside legal counsel, Katie facilitates a dynamic set of real estate and business matters – from complex transactions to small business ventures. Her experience ranges from coordinating a multi-billion-dollar development for the second largest developer in the world to advising small businesses on entity formation, leasing, and management issues.

Katie has assisted buyers in the acquisition, finance, disposition, and stabilization of millions of square feet of office, retail, industrial, and multi-family properties. She acts as outside counsel for several banks and private money lenders, for loan originations, as well as workouts and foreclosures. Katie also has expertise in working with restaurants and food services, with experience ranging from local, neighborhood restaurants to national fine dining.

A food and wine connoisseur, Katie enjoys traveling the world in search of new culinary experiences. She lives in the East Bay with daughter Greer, and their dogs, Stella and Maisie. To balance her foodie status, she is a runner and triathlete. Safely situated in the middle to back of the pack, Katie has completed seven marathons, dozens of half marathons, and is an IronMan.
